Step:

  1. Cream the two kinds of butter with the sugar until fluffy. Then add the eggs one by one, while mixing. Add the milk where you have already dissolved the baker's ammonia. Meanwhile, sift the flour where you have added the vanilla, the baking powder, the orange zest and the mastic, both liqueur and ground.

  2. Mix the ingredients well in a stand mixer until you have a pliable dough that unsticks from the sides of the bowl. Form it into koulourakia of various shapes and place them in a baking sheet brushed with butter.

  3. Brush the top with egg and bake in a preheated oven at 180-200°C for 15-20 minutes.

  1. 1 kg flour
  2. 1 tsp vanilla
  3. zest of one orange
  4. 2 level tsp baking powder (10 g)
  5. 2 1/2 cups icing sugar (300 g)
  6. 3/4 cup milk (150 ml)
  7. 1 mastic liqueur (50 ml)
  8. 1/2 level tsp ground mastic (2 g)
  9. 3 eggs
  10. 2 level tsp baker's ammonia (6 g)
  11. 2 cups clarified butter and butter half and half (300 g)
