Begin by mixing the yeast, sugar and warm water. Leave this aside for 10-12mins until it gets frothy. In a bigger bowl, mix the flour and salt. To this add the yeast mixture and knead away. If it gets sticky, add a little flour
Once you feel you kneaded enough, put it back in the bowl and cover with some cling wrap and let it sit for an hour. After 60mins, you will notice the dough has risen, take the dough out and knead again. Do this for 10mins and try to shape it into a loaf or put it in a non-stick bread pan. Cover this again and let it sit for another hour. It will double in size again!
An hour later, it is time for the loaf to bake. Dab some olive oil or butter on the top of the loaf. This apparently prevents the crust from becoming hard! Put your loaf in a preheated 200C/390F oven and bake for 20ish minutes until the crust turns golden brown. If you are like me, you will take a peek inside the oven a few times at least :).
