Step:

  1. MARINADE; Marinate the beef in soy sauce, corn flour and sesame oil. Mix well and set aside.

  2. BEEF; When ready, heat 2 Tbsp of cooking oil until hit and fry 1/2 amount of ginger and garlic until fragrant (10 seconds). Then add in the beef and cook it until brown on both sides (more or less 2 mins per side). Remove and set aside.

  3. MUSHROOMS; heat 2 Tbsp of cooking oil until hot and fry the remaining ginger and garlic until fragrant. Then add the mushrooms, hoison sauce and mix well. Then add the stock/water, mix well and cover with a lid. Let it cook for 3 minutes whilst stirring occasionally every minute.

  4. ASSEMBLY; after 3 minutes, add in the beef with the mushrooms and mix well. Then add the thickener and mix. Season with salt if necessary. When the sauce has thickened, turn off the heat. You can garnish with spring onions.

  1. 250 g Beef (slice thinly)
  2. Marinade:
  3. 1 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce
  4. 1 Tbsp Corn Flour
  5. 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  6. Stir Frying;
  7. 200 g Mushrooms (slice thinly)
  8. 40 g Garlic (or 2 Tbsp, minced)
  9. 40 g Ginger (2 Tbsp, minced)
  10. 2 Tbsp Hoison Sauce
  11. 1 cup Stock or Water
  12. 4 Tbsp Cooking Oil (add more if needed)
  13. if necessary Salt
  14. Thickener (mix well in a bowl);
  15. 1 Tbsp Corn Flour
  16. 1/4 cup Water
