Step:

  1. Preheat oven to 375F. Grease an 8x8" baking pan and set aside. Drain both of the cans of beans in a colander and rinse them thoroughly with cold water.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, mustard, garlic, onion, sriracha, liquid smoke, cornstarch and seasonings. Then stir in the crushed pineapple and it's juices, the pineapple tidbits and it's juices and the diced ham steak. Stir in the beans until it's all incorporated.

  3. Pour the bean mixture into the prepared pan and cover with foil. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes. Then uncover and bake an additional 30 minutes. Once its done, remove it from the oven and let it sit to thicken for 5-10 minutes, then serve.


Ingredients

  1. 2 cans (15 oz.) great northern beans
  2. 4 oz. crushed pineapple, in 100% juice & undrained
  3. 4 oz. pineapple tidbits, in 100% juice & undrained
  4. 4 oz. ham steak, cubed (or other cooked ham)
  5. 1/2 small yellow onion, diced
  6. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  7. 1/2 cup ketchup
  8. 1/4 cup your favorite bbq sauce
  9. 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  10. 1 tbsp. dijon mustard
  11. 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  12. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  13. 1 tsp. sriracha
  14. 1/4 tsp. liquid smoke
  15. 1/4 tsp. each salt, pepper, ground ginger
