Step:

  1. Put the clams in water to remove the salt. Finely chop the onion. Slice the bacon into thick strips.

  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan and fry the cod skin-side down. When the colour has changed a little, add the clams, onion, bacon and white wine. Put the lid on.

  3. When the clams have opened up, serve the cod and clams on a dish.

  4. Reheat the rest of the sauce in the pan and when it comes to the boil, add the ★ butter and heavy cream. Gently shake to combine everything.

  5. Pour the sauce from Step 4 onto the dish from Step 3. Lastly, decorate with Italian parsley and it's done!

  1. 2 pieces Salted cod
  2. 20 to 30 Manila clams (asari)
  3. 1/2 Onion
  4. 3 cm Bacon
  5. 5 grams Butter
  6. 50 ml White wine
  7. 1 Parsley (Italian parsley if available)
  8. 5 grams ★Butter
  9. 25 ml ★Heavy cream
  10. 1 if it isn't salty enough ★Salt and pepper
