Step:

  1. Mix apples w/ next 5 ingred. Then blend in ice cream. Spoon apples into uncooked pie crust. Pat down apples lightly. Then pour remaining liquid over apples. Let sit 1 hr @ rm.temp before adding TOPPING.

  2. Mix flour, sugar & salt tog. Add melted butter & toss lightly w/ fork or mix gently w/ hands. Spread over Apple's & bake 2nd shelf of oven 1 hr 10 min @ 350 deg.till top is browned.

  3. After removing from oven let set for 4 hrs before cutting.

Ingredients

  1. 2 1/2 lbs gala apples sliced thin
  2. 1/2 C. Sugar
  3. 1 T. Lemon juice
  4. 1 tsp cinnamon
  5. 1 tsp vanilla
  6. 1/2 tsp salt
  7. 1/2 C. Melted vanilla ice cream
  8. for the streusell
  9. 1 C. Flour
  10. 1/2 C. Lt.brown sugar
  11. 1/2 tsp salt
  12. 6 T. Melted butter
