Step:
Pressure cook Daal with the ingredients mentioned with about 2 cups of water for 5-6 whistles. Let the pressure settle down completely before opening the lid.
Open the lid and allow it to simmer. If needed, add some more water to make it semi thick. The consistency should be semi thick for this lovely looking Daal.
Meanwhile, heat Oil and add sliced Onions and Ginger garlic paste. Saute on a low to medium high heat until golden brown and done. Add some chopped Coriander Leaves too. Add this hot tempering to the cooked Daal. Adjust Salt and serve hot with Phulkas, Chapatis and even Rice. But it's best eaten with Rotis. Enjoy your meals!
This is the best way that it's enjoyed. Just break into pieces and add to it. Soak it well and enjoy your mealtime.

1 cup Yellow Lentils or Moong Daal
1 tsp Salt or to taste
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
4-5 Green Chillies slit
For TEMPERING -
2 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
2 Onions thinly sliced
