Step:

  1. Heat milk in a saucepan on a Gas Cooker's hob,separate egg yolks from the egg white's - mix all the egg yolks together,add the sugar too the egg yolks.

  2. Pour hot milk over the sugary egg yolks and keep stirring with a wooden spoon - bring everything back too the saucepan and keep stirring with the wooden spoon on a very gentle simmer,take off the heat if you must and keep stirring - too stop the custard from curdling.

  3. The custard is done,when you can coat the back of the wooden spoon with the custard and you can draw a line with your finger through the custard on the back of the wooden spoon.Serve hot,or let it get cold,before storing it,in the Fridge,or in the Freezer for Ice-cream.


Ingredients

  1. 4 hen egg yolks
  2. 80 g caster sugar
  3. 1 Pint Pasteurized Cow Milk,which is 500ml
  4. 1 tbsp. Cornflour (optional)
  5. Vanilla Extract or Essence - Vanilla Pod's (optional)
  6. If using 300ml Double Cream - use 100g sugar
