Step:

  1. Add cornmeal,flour, baking powder and sugar in a bowl

  2. Stir well to mix evenly

  3. Beat egg in another bowl until frothy

  4. Stir in dissolved milk in the egg and pour into dry ingredients

  5. Stir to blend well

  6. Allow mixture firm up slightly

  7. Use spoon to put mixture in small amounts into hot oil

  8. Fry till it's browned

  9. Drain on paper towels

  1. 2 tbs milk dissolved in water
  2. 1 1/2 cup white or yellow cornmeal
  3. 1/2 cup flour
  4. 3 tsp baking powder
  5. 3/4 tsp salt
  6. 1 tsp sugar
  7. 1 egg
  8. Oil for deep frying
