Step:

  1. For the spiced custard: Heat the milk. Once it boils add star anise, cinnamon stick, cardamom powder and sugar to it.

  2. Add saffron strands soaked in 1 tbsp warm milk and custard powder mixed in 4 tbsp cold milk.

  3. Keep stirring constantly until the mixture turns a bit thick. Switch off the gas and let the mixture cool and keep it in the fridge for 3-4 hours.

  4. While serving make the pancake.

  5. For the pancake to make the roulade: Mix all the ingredients for the pancake in a bowl.

  6. Heat a pan and grease it with ghee. Now pour the pancake mix on the pan.

  7. After the pancake gets cooked on both the side spread the carrot halwa on it evenly.

  8. Start rolling tightly from one side and roll it fully.

  9. Cut the roulade into pieces and place them in a serving tray. Pour cold spiced custard over it and serve it.

  10. A very yummy dessert from leftover gajar ka halwa is ready to serve.

  1. 1 cup leftover gajar ka halwa
  2. For pan cake:
  3. 50 ml milk
  4. 150 grams whole wheat flour
  5. As needed Water to adjust the consistency
  6. 3 tbsp fresh homemade curd
  7. 20 gram sugar
  8. Pinch salt
  9. as required Ghee for cooking the pancake
  10. For spiced custard:
  11. 250 ml full fat milk
  12. 2 star anise
  13. 1 tsp cardamom powder
  14. 1 small cinnamon stick
  15. 45 grams sugar
  16. 2 tbsp custard powder
  17. Few saffron strands
