Step:

  1. Break the lettuce up into manageable pieces

  2. Add dice tomato

  3. In a pan toast the rolled oat, toast to a golden brown. Add syrup, pecans, and salt.

  4. Keep heat on stirring often, after about 3 minutes remove from heat.

  5. This will harden so break it up add to top of salad. Add dressing. Top off with salt and pepper

  4. 1/2 cup Lyle's Golden Syrup
  5. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  7. 1 head iceburg lettuce
  8. 1 large vine ripened tomato, diced
  9. ---dressing----
  10. to taste your favorite salad dressing
  11. to taste salt and fresh ground pepper
