• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
• Maintain a fully stocked store
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
• Recommend and display items that match customer needs
• Welcome and greet customers
• Keep up to date with product information
• Accurately describe product features and benefits
• Follow all companies’ policies and procedures

GOODS IN -

• Loading and unloading goods from delivery vans or lorries
• Checking that the correct quantity and type of goods have been received
• Recording any damaged, missing or faulty goods
• Moving the goods to the correct area in the warehouse, either manually or using mechanical handling equipment
• Labelling goods

STORAGE & STOCK CONTROL -

• Allocating storage space to goods
• Relocating and re-stacking goods to make space for a new delivery

GOODS OUT -

• Picking goods that have been requested by customer
• Preparing stock and pass to cashier counter for customer
• Moving and stacking goods ready for delivery, either by hand or using hoist lift
